| Don is semi-retired now, but most days you will still see him at the garage. Don's son Denny, who began working at the garage in 1972 after graduating from college is now managing the repair garage. In 1991, Don's daughter Wendy Watro was hired as office manager. The garage office was completely remodeled and an extensive computer system was added to maintain customer billing and vehicle histories. |

In The Early Days
On April 1, 1955 Don and Peggy DeWane bought their garage and a luncheonette from Ross and Evelyn Dalton. Don ran the garage and Peggy ran the luncheonette. Sometimes Don would help Peggy during the lunch time rush, but then it was back to the cars. Don originally worked on cars and ran a Ford Tractor Dealership. The tractor dealership ended in the early 70's. He also maintained many of the school buses belonging to the Methacton School District until the early 70's, when Methacton built a maintenance garage for all of their buses. |

| How We've Grown Over the last 45 years the garage has grown into one of the Collegeville area's largest repair shops. Services include State Inspection and Enhanced Emission, Brake Jobs, Exhaust Repairs, Tires, Front End Alignments, and General Repairs for cars and trucks. DeWane's also has 3 tow trucks and a flatbed hauler and can tow anything from motorcycles to 18-wheel tractor trailers. |
